Patient Guidelines

Patient guidelines the admission department staff will help your patient to check-in through the admission process and guide you through the hospital guidelines.

Patient’s clinical condition. Outside food or home food is allowed in the hospital. Relatives of patient can provide food and Beverages at their own risk. Any untoward incidence or medical emergency arises out of the food supplied from Patient’s home is entirely at the onus of the patient party and hospital will not take any responsibility of that incidence. And if the Patient require ICU/HDU care following that medical emergency then the patient party has to bear the expense of that treatment that will be provided to the patient.

Hospital will provide the patient with the medicines and consumables required for treatment at the hospital as per the treating doctor’s guidelines.

Patient (ICU, PICU, NICU) will be provided with hospital dress and slippers during the stay in the hospital and the same needs to be returned to the hospital at the time of discharge of the patient.

You are expected to provide ID Proof and complete and accurate information including your full name, address and home telephone number, date of birth, insurance carrier and employer, as required

You are expected to provide complete and accurate information about your health and medical history, including present condition, past illnesses, hospital stays, medicines, vitamins, herbal products, and other matters that pertain to your health, including perceived safety risks.

You have the right to receive considerate, respectful and compassionate care in a safe setting regardless of your age, gender, race, nationality, origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disabilities.

You have the right to receive treatment and care in a safe environment free from all forms of abuse, neglect or mistreatment.

You have the right to be called by your name and be in an environment that maintains dignity and adds to a positive self-image.

You have the right to receive detailed information about your hospital and physician charges.

Patient’s clinical condition. Outside food or home food is not allowed in the hospital specially in ICU, HDU, PICU & NICU. Relative’s food in the Premium category rooms will be provided by the hospital and would be charged separately to the patient’s bill payable at the time of discharge of the patient. Hospital will provide the patient with the medicines and consumables required for treatment at the hospital as per the treating doctor’s guidelines.

Patient (ICU, PICU, NICU& HDU) will be provided with hospital dress and slippers during the stay in the hospital and the same needs to be returned to the hospital at the time of discharge of the patient.

You will be counseled on general rules of the hospital, visiting hours, dietary services, and also financial counselling for surgeries and procedures. Further, you will be requested to make an advance payment (adjustable in the daily bill of the patient) at the time of admission, for which you will be given a receipt.

Please refrain from keeping valuable belongings including cash, credit card, jewellery, cell phone with you, during your stay. We instead encourage patients to leave or send these items home. If one wishes to keep valuable items during your patient’s stay, then one should be responsible for all the items, as Heritage Hospital accepts no liability.

Hospital is a tobacco free zone and consuming tobacco in any form inside the hospital premises is not permissible.

Flowers and outside eatables are not allowed in patient areas

Photography inside the hospital is strictly prohibited.

Foreigners are required to give their passport details at the time of admission.
